Jen Ujcich, M.A., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Specializing in Myofunctional Therapy (for tongue tie, tongue thrust, orthodontic relapse etc.), Language Delays, and Articulation; trained in Hanen It Takes Two to Talk®
I’m Jen Ujcich (pronounced “you-check”) and known to the little ones as “Miss Jen”. Growing up, I flip-flopped between wanting to be a teacher and a nurse. One day in high school, I happened to be at my aunt’s house when her friend was over who was a Speech Therapist. We ended up talking and I knew I found the perfect combination between the two professions and I never looked back!
I’ve been a Speech-Language Pathologist since 2000. I was at a Special Needs Preschool for over 13 years. My career has also focused on working with toddlers, kindergarteners, and elementary-age students. My experience has provided me with tons of ideas of how to make therapy effective yet fun! My client's success is my motivation.
When I am not “doing Speech”, you’ll find me at the gym in group fitness or Pilates class. If it’s summer, I’ll be laying by the pool.
In 2009, I started Columbus Area Speech Therapy. It has grown into a practice of multiple Speech Therapists. Some of our therapists live outside of Central Ohio so we can reach more families including in Wapakoneta, Circleville, and Steubenville. We can treat children anywhere in Ohio through teletherapy. Some of our therapists are additionally licensed to see clients in other states. Our primary focus is providing excellent services to children that are convenient for their busy parents.
I see in-person clients in the Hilliard, Dublin and Upper Arlington areas.
